Obituary for Wiley Glen Lewter

Wiley Glen Lewter, 74, was born August 7, 1928, to the late John W. and Mary Elizabeth Mitchell Lewter. He departed this life on June 12, 2003. He was baptized on August 15, 1943, at the age of 15. He was a faithful member of Cash Point Baptist Church where he taught a men's class for several years. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, June 14, 2003, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Kevin Shearrer and Bro. William Suddarth officiating. Visitation was on Friday, June 13, 2003 at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. Burial was in Blanche Cemetery in Blanche, TN. Pallbearers were Calvin Holt, Alan Crews, Marvin Biggerstaff, Bill Harrison, Kenneth Stevenson, Marion Hicks, and with Don Owen, Honorary Pallbearer.Glen married Jean McLemore on June 9, 1951. In addition to his wife Jean, he is survived by two daughters, Kay Harper of Athens, AL, and Faye Ables of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Dorothy Jean McLemore and Peggy Hopkins of Taft; one brother, Daulton Lewter and a nephew Bobby Lewter, both of Fayetteville, TN. He had two granddaughters, Sandy Eddelman and Robin Waldridge, and one grandson Ty Ables, all of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter and two great-grandsons, several beloved nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
