Vanella Mae Fogg, 101, of Highway 251, Elkmont, Alabama, died Saturday, March 29, 2003 at her residence. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Rickey Michael, Rev. Tony Boyles, and Ken Barnett officiating. Burial was in Hatchett Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons. Mrs. Fogg was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church. She was an avid domino player at the Ardmore Senior Citizens. She was born in Limestone County on September 16, 1901, to W.J. and Ada Ferguson Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Fogg, and grandchildren, Robbie Barnett, Gayle Lorene and Kenneth Fogg. Survivors include five sons, Thomas Fogg of Ardmore, Alabama, Rudolph Fogg of Waterford, Connecticut, R.L. Fogg of Memphis, Tennessee, Max Fogg of Kendallville, Indiana, and Lavone Fogg of Elkmont, Alabama; sixteen grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and nineteen great-great-grandchildren.
