Sharon Joy Barrett, 73, of Athens, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Athens, Alabama. Sharon was the daughter of Cecil Prescott and Wilonese Bryan Prescott. Sharon has lived in this area all her life, was a member of Athens Church of God, and enjoyed quilting. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cap Barrett; and younger brother, James Prescott. She is survived by her sons, Mark Prescott, Chris Grimes and David Grimes; brothers, Paul (Kimberly) Prescott, Stephen (Brenda) Prescott, and John (Lisa) Prescott; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. The Chapel Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Bro. Terry Jackson and Bro. Larry Trotter officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens, Athens, Alabama
