Obituary for Sarah Frances Terrell

Sarah Frances Terrell, 87, of Main Street, Ardmore, TN, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at SunBridge Care Center of Ardmore, TN.Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, March 8, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery in Hartselle, AL with Rev. Dennis Cleveland officiating. Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 1701 Carridale St. SW, Decatur, AL.Sarah Frances was born October 20, 1920 in Decatur, AL, to Elbert Marvin McCullough and Olier Edward McCullough. She lived in this area since 1998 after coming from Decatur. She worked at Decatur Iron & Steel and was an executive secretary at Prestolite in the 1960's. Mrs. Terrell was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Birmingham and Decatur, AL, where she sang in the choir. She gradated from Ensley High School in Birmingham in 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Horace Terrell of Decatur.Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Ross (Doug) Turner of Elkton, TN; grandson, Michael Bryant of Pulaski, TN; granddaughter, Debbie (Don) Banes of Killen, AL; step-granddaughters, Becky (Scott) Clifft of Summertown, TN and Annette Turner of Columbia, TN; three great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
