Ruby Lee Dixon, 89, of Ardmore, Tennessee, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center for Ardmore. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Ready Cemetery in Toney, Alabama, with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Jimmy Reed, Doyle Vann, Carlton Vann, John Hancock, Tommy Hancock, and Claudie Vann.Mrs. Dixon was born on June 23, 1914, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Franklin Riddle and Ella Bland Riddle. She was a member of Heard's Chapel Baptist Church. She loved and enjoyed Bingo, Gospel Music, church, and crafts of all kinds. She was a very loving Mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Buford Leon Dixon, three brothers, and one sister. Survivors include one son, Joe W. (Betty) Dixon of Ardmore, Tennessee; two daughters-in-law; Joyce Talley of ardmore, Alabama, and Earnestine Dixon of Hazel Green, Alabama; one sister, Gracie Hopkins of Toney, Alabama; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
