Melvin Waddles Bell, 59, of Acworth, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at his residence. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 13, 2003, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Wade West officiating. Burial was in Gatlin Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.Mr. Bell was born on October 27, 1943, in Cullman, Alabama, to William James Bell and Opal Freeman Bell. Mr. Bell was a Baptist and worked as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Judy Lynn and Amanda Jean Bell. Survivors include his wife, Doris C. Bell of Acworth, Georgia; his mother, Opal Freeman Forester of Hanceville, Alabama; four sons, Michael, David, Dennis, and Steve Bell, all of Holly Pond, Alabama; one daughter, Tracy Ann Williams of Cullman, Alabama; three brothers, Carl Bell of Cullman, Alabama, Allen Bell of Blountsville, ALabama, and Billy Bell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; four sisters, Shirley McNutt of Cullman, ALabama, Janice Sellers of Cullman, Alabama, Linda Shoemaker of Holly Pond, Alabama, and Shelia Drummond of Cullman, Alabama; and several Grandchildren.
