Obituary for Mabron Biggerstaff

Mabron Biggerstaff, 84, of Mooresville Road, Elkmont, AL, died Saturday, February 19, 2005, at Tutt Fann Veterans Home, Huntsville, AL. Funeral Services were held Monday, February 21, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Harvell and Bro. Lester Banard officiating. Burial was in the Hasting Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Roger Hodges, Ryan Hodges, June Hodges, Harvey Magnusson, Darrell Bryant, and Timmy Beddingfield. Honorary pallbearers were Mitchell Woodfin, Tom Clem and Weldon Thomas. Mabron was born January 30, 1921, in Limestone County, AL, to Charlie Biggerstaff and Tommie Magnusson Biggerstaff. He lived all his life in the area. He was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. He was an Army Veteran and P.O.W. of World War II. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his service. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Biggerstaff of Elkmont, AL; two sons, Marvin Biggerstaff of Blanche, TN, and Brad Biggerstaff of Ardmore, AL; one daughter, Joan Brock of Elkmont, AL; one grandson, Brian Biggerstaff of Ardmore, AL; four granddaughters, Amy Biggerstaff-Smith of Chapel Hill, TN, Brandi Biggerstaff Ezell of Toney, AL, Kriston and Stephanie Brock of Elkmont, AL; one great-grandson, Austin Ezell of Toney, AL; one brother, Sam Biggerstaff of Elkmont, AL; and one sister, Sara Butler of Prospect, TN.
