Obituary for Lonnie Cicero King

Lonnie Cicero King, 72 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Floyd E. "Tut" Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville, Alabama.Born Thursday, May 4, 1939 in Veto, Alabama, he was the son of the late Robert L. King and the late Mable Davis King. He was the husband of Jane King.He returned to Ardmore over 4 years ago, after his retirement from the United States Air Force. He attended Boyds Chapel Methodist Chruch. He loved woodworking, nature, and antiques, but most of all he loved his family.He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers David R. and Ricky D. King.He is survived by his daughter, Linda Schrader of Ardmore, TN, and her mother Babs King of Woodstock, GA, brothers, James Calvin (Pattsy) King of Elkmont, AL, Lee (Joan) King of Ardmore, AL, Bill (Donnie) King of Ardmore, AL and Roger King of Ardmore, TN, sisters, Martha (Vernon) Thomas of Elkmont, AL, Kathy (Deverl) Nave of Toney, AL, Renee Wales of Ardmore, AL, a loving & devoted friend Tracy Cain of Canton, GA, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday August 29, 2011 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, with the Pastor Cheryl Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery, Elkmont, AL.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home.Family request donations may be made to Hospice of North Alabama, 3311 Bob Wallace Ave. SW Ste. 101, Huntsville, AL 35805, and Alzheimers Association of North Alabama, 117 A Longwood Drive SE, Huntsville, AL 35801.
