Obituary for Kemith Edgar Keith

Kemith Edgar Keith, Jr., 76, of Blanche, TN, died Friday, April 15, 2005, in the Lincoln Regional Hospital, Fayetteville, TN, after a long illness of Parkinson Disease and heart failure. Funeral Services were held Sunday, April 17, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Wallace and Rev. Jim Curry officiating. Burial was in the Blanche Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Scott Keith, Pat Keith, Matt Keith, Dustin Smith, James Bond, and Jim Sumners. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Cooper, Frank Beeler, Phil McLemore and Richard McLemore. Kemith Edgar Keith, Jr. was an avid sports fan and a former Golden Glove Boxing champion. He was a charter and lifetime member of the Ardmore Lions club and a member of the Blanche United Methodist Church. After retiring from the U.S. Army Missile Command, he farmed and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Kemith Edgar Keith, Sr.; his mother, Hassie Colbert Keith; and sisters, Dorothy Baker and Opal Buchanan. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Martha Ann (Bishop) Keith of Blanche, TN; two sons, Jim Edd Keith and wife Linda of Blanche, TN, and Rickey Keith and wife Debbie, also of Blanche, TN; one granddaughter, Meri Leigh and husband Dustin Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; three grandsons, Scott Keith of Charlotte, NC, Patrick Keith of Cash Point, TN, and Matthew Keith of Blanche, TN; one great-granddaughter, Abby Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, James C. Keith and wife Jean of Fayetteville, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; and a special caregiver, Roberta Carter.
