Joan Marie Yarbrough,69 of Harvest, Alabama died on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at her home in Harvest, Alabama.Born Monday, April 7, 1941 in Athens, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Hartselle Schrimsher and the late Ethel Wales Schrimsher.She was a licensed instructor of Cosmetology and a member of Pineview Baptist Church and the National Association of Women\'s Business Advocates. She enjoyed swim aerobics, playing guitar music, and equestrian riding. She was the owner of Yarbrough Paving Company and was a breast cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Jimmy Schrimsher, and sisters: Nancy Curley, Joyce Cribbs, and Catherine Schrimsher.Surviving are her husband: Jerry Martin Yarbrough of Harvest, AL; sons: Jerry Kim (Charlotte) Yarbrough of Harvest, AL and Douglas Martin (Trina) Yarbrough of Harvest, AL, a brother: Douglas Schrimsher of Ardmore, TN, sisters: Barbara Atchley of East Limestone, AL, Ann Holmes of Athens, AL and Charlotte Davis of Florence, AL, a granddaughter: Kimberly (Nick) Gilreath of Toney, AL; a step-grandson: Heath Shaneyfelt, a great-grandchild: Taylor Marie Gilreath and a step-great-grandchild: Gavin Shaneyfelt.Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday at Pineview Baptist Church located at 5614 Highway 53 Harvest, Alabama with Rev. Joey Savell and Rev. Sammy Brister officiating. Burial will be in Ford\'s Chapel Cemetery, Harvest, AL.The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 18, 2010, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
