Obituary for James Hargrove

James Hargrove, 87, of 8th Avenue East, Ardmore, Alabama, died Saturday, January 11, 2003, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, Tennessee. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 13, 2003, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Toney Boyles officiating. Burial was in Gatlin Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pall bearers were Jamie McKnight, Tim McKnight, Haden Clark, Cody Hargrove, and Garon Hargrove.Mr. Hargrove was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area. He was born in Ardmore, Alabama on June 23, 1915, to the late Felton and Clara Clem Hargrove. He was an Army Veteran of WW II. He was a member of Ardmore First United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise May Hargrove.Survivors include one son, Johnny Hargrove of Ardmore, Alabama; one daughter, Susie Clark of Ardmore, Alabama; one brother, J.C. Hargrove; three sisters, Nancy pepper of Athens, Alabama, Pete Hodges of Birmingham, Alabama, and Dora Mae Harms of Florida; and six Grandchildren.
