Obituary for James Floyd Maxwell

James Floyd Maxwell, 86, of Mims Street, Ardmore, AL, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN. Funeral Services were held Saturday, April 9, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Brister and Rev. William Suddarth officiating. Burial will be in the Hasting Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. James Floyd Maxwell was born July 6, 1918 in Dennis, MS, to Gerome L. Maxwell and Delia Sartain Maxwell. He lived in Ardmore five years after having lived many years in Zion, IL, where he worked in new car sales. He was a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Freemon F. Maxwell and Flaves Maxwell; and two sisters, Flonnie Ford and Letra Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Eddis Maxwell of Ardmore, AL; one son, Larry F. (Wendy) Maxwell of Elkmont, AL; one daughter, Elaine (Bob) Lindelof of Pulaski, TN; one brother, Bobby (Darlene) Maxwell of Dennis, MS; two sisters, Florence Ables and Lavelle Hawkins both of Dennis, MS; four grandchildren, Michael (Melinda) Maxwell, Theresa (Rodney) Rutledge, Rob (Stacey) Lindelof and Tiffany Lindelof; and seven great-grandchildren.
