Obituary for Harold Glen Coffman

Harold Glenn Coffman was born in Limestone County on December 26, 1938 and was the son of the late James Ed and Maggie Myrtle Bolin Coffman. "Mr. Glen" as most people knew him, was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. He always saw the good in a person and situations. He was a very positive person who would always lift you up, never down. Mr. Glen had a passion for community service, where he was an active member of the Ardmore Lions Club, where he served on various committees, as well as president in 2000. He was an active member of Ardmore Veterans. He had volunteered at Ardmore Public Library, his job was to deliver books to shut-ins. Member of Friends of the Library, he enjoyed the fellowship of the other domino players on Thursdays at the Ardmore Public Library.

Preceded in death are his parents, James Ed and Maggie Myrtle Bolin Coffman, Zora Mae (Jimmy) Edwards, sisters, Margaret (Leonard) King, Zora Mae (Jimmy) Edwards, brother, Wesley (Clara) Coffman, and infant brother, Charles Edward Coffman.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Louise Coffman, son, Eric (Lori) Coffman, daughter, Alison Coffman, step-daughters, Melissa Davis, Elizabeth (Chris) Wade, Christine (Randy) Fahnestock, brother, Kenneth (June) Coffman, Grandchildren, Kayleigh Coffman, Shadow Phillips, Devon Parsons, Adam (Brittney) St. John, Matthew St. John, Courtney (James) Bearden, Allek Wade, Kayla (Josh) Lancaster, Haley Davis, Great Grandchildren, Jason St. John, Abilgail St. John, Griffin Harris Bearden, Trenton Noah St. John, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Rodney Bice officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, Alabama.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM up until service time at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 , at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.

He will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial contributions may be made in "Mr. Glen's" memory to the Ardmore Public Library.
