Obituary for Harold David Clem

Harold David Clem, 67 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Boyles and Bro. Steve Hargrove officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL. Pallbearers were: John David Murphy, Ray Wales, Malcolm Angus, Randall Angus, Jerry Johnson, Paul Shaw, Rex Toone, Michael Royster. Honorary Pallbears were: Donald Murphy, Thomas Clay Wales, Billy Joe Broadway, Melvin Ables, and Frank Davis. In lieu of flowers: Donations to the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham, AL.He was born Sunday, October 19, 1941 to the late Daris Clem and the late Ruby Irene Brock Clem. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. He was employed with 3M in Decatur, AL for 34 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed helping others and loved his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Ann Clem Beeler and a granddaughter, Leanna Whipple. Survivors include his wife: Ellen Davis Clem; daughters: Karla & Jimmy Pinkston of Elkmont, AL; Marlon & Steven Wight of Elkmont, AL and Dana & Jonathan Schrimsher of Elkmont, AL; sister: Lila Ruth Shields of Elkmont, AL; brother-in-law: Albert Beeler of Scottsboro, AL; Aunt: Mildred Thomas of Elkmont, AL; 6 grandchildren: John David Murphy, Kaylee Whipple, Wesley Wight, Jacob Shrimsher, Nathan Wight, and Joshua Schrimsher; nieces: Judi Whiteman and Melissa McLaughlin; nephews: John Shields, Michael Beeler and Steven Beeler, and several great nieces and nephews.
