Gladys Marie Dunn

Gladys Marie Dunn, 84, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at her home in Elkmont, Alabama. Born on November 29, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Coats and Myrtle Irene Hamby Coats. Ms. Gladys lived in Elkmont her entire life and was a member of Stateline Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David R. Dunn, daughters; Patsy Emerson Davis and Dee Dee Scott, son Marvin “Wiener” Dunn, three grandsons and one great grandson. She is survived by two sons, David “Gunner” Dunn (Tina) and James “Jimmy” Dunn, one daughter Sherry Dugger, one daughter-in-law Connie Dunn, grandchildren: Dana Dunn, Larry Dugger, Julie Phillips, Kelsey McKinley, Dillon Scott, Caitlyn Scoggins, Haley Scott, Clint Dugger, April Thompson, David Parks, Jimmy Parks, Buddy Eddie, Rachel Bruno, and Shawn Majors as well as numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation for Ms. Gladys will be Monday, March 21, 2022, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Following the visitation, there will be a chapel service at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, March 21, 2022, that will be begin at 3:00 PM with Bro. Rusty Lincoln officiating. Ms. Gladys is to be laid to rest at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama.
