Obituary for Ellie Mae Widner Eaves Hicklen

Ellie Mae Widner Eaves Hicklen, 87, of Huntsville, Alabama, formerly of Wooley Springs Road, Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at Big Springs Specialty Care Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Bobby Hudson officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, Alabama with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Forest Bates, Johnny Dutton, David Morris, Phillip Morris, Lewis Sammett, and Dwight Stoner.Mrs. Hicklen was born on July 26, 1916, in Limestone County, Alabama, to Otis and Margaret Shelton Widner. She was the last survivor of ten children. She was a charter member of the Wooley Springs Church of Christ estabolished in 1947, and remained a faithful member until her death. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 34 years, Johnie Eaves, and her second husband, Kenneth Hicklen. Survivors include: one son, Johnny Eaves, Jr. of Athens, Alabama; one daughter, Faye and husband Donny Moore of Augusta, Georgia; and two grandchildren, Chad Moore of Raleigh, North Carolina, and John Moore of West Palm Beach, Florida.
