Deborah Kay Shannon Burnett, 48, of Lakeview Drive, Ardmore, Alabama, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 23, 2004, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial was in Gatlin Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.Mrs. Burnett was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 25, 1956, to Herbert Wiley Shannon and Christine Williams Shannon. She worked for a cookie bakery and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father and husband, Vernon Burnett, Sr. Survivors include her mother, Christine Shannon of Ardmore, Alabama; two sons, Vernon and Melissa Burnett and Brody Dennison, both of Ardmore, Alabama; a special friend, Larry Nichols of Elkmont, Alabama; one brother, Eddie and wife Ann Shannon of Elkmont, Alabama; and one grandson, Christopher Wiley Burnett of Ardmore, Alabama.
