David Richard Dunn, 64, of Watson Lane, Elkmont, Alabama, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 31, 2003, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Rusty Lincoln and Bro. Carl Hubbard officiating. Burial was in Gatlin Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.Mr. Dunn was born on November 13, 1938, in Kahoka, Missouri, to Floyd Harold and Elsie Pagle Dunn. Mr. Dunn was a career Army Veteran having served three tours in Viet Nam. He was of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Dunn, his mother, Elsie Pagle Dunn, his step-mother, Dorothy Dunn, a daughter, Patsy M. Davis, by grandsons, Chris and John David McNight, and Clayton Dugger, and by a great-grandson, Braiden Christian.Survivors include his wife, Gladys Coats Dunn of Elkmont, Alabama; three sons, David "Gunner" Dunn of Petersburg, Tennessee, Marvin "Wiener" Dunn of Elkmont, Alabama, and James "Jimmy" Dunn of Elkmont, Alabama; two daughters, Sherry Dugger and Lenore "Dee Dee" Scott, both of Elkmont, Alabama; one brother, Richard W. "Dickie" Dunn of Elkmont, Alabama; one step-brother, Sonny Scotton of Iowa; three sisters, JoAnn Dill of Farmington, Iowa, Karen Daniels of Iowa, and Brenda Cappell of Michigan; twelve Grandchildren; and six Great-grandchildren.
