Obituary for Clarence Junior Schrimsher

Clarence Junior Schrimsher, 83, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away at home on Saturday, September 27, 2014 with his loving wife and dog by his side. Born Thursday, September 17, 1931 in Huntsville, Alabama he was the son of the late Clarence Schrimsher, Sr. and the late Gertrude Sanderson Schrimsher. He was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Self; four sisters, and two brothers. He lived all of his life in this area and was a member of Hayes Chapel Baptist Church in New Market, AL. He was an avid Alabama football fan, farmer, raised Tennessee Walking Horses, and retired from the Alabama Highway Departement after 25 years. Surviving are wife, Teresa Davis Schrimsher, Elkmont, AL; sons, Clarence 'Chuck' Lamons, Paint Rock, AL; Joe Armstrong, Hazel Green, AL; daughters; Janet Harvill, Toney, AL, Cathy Schrimsher, Hazel Green, AL, Pamela (Stoney) Price, Fayetteville, TN, Rita Miller, Hazel Green, AL, brothers; Carl Schrimsher, Hazel Green, AL, Kenneth Schrimsher, Owens Cross Roads, AL. twelve Grandchildren; several Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a host of very special friends; best friend and caretaker, Jerry Bailey. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Jeff Bennett and Bro. Chris Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 8;00 PM at their home at 24955 Sweet Springs Road, Elkmont, Alabama.
