Carl Ross Thomas, 73, of Sweet Springs Road, Elkmont, Alabama, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Athens-Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 14, 2003, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Dusty McLemore and Rev. Willie Earl officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.Mr. Thomas was born in Limestone County, Alabama on August 14, 1929, to the late Willie Clayton and Lottie Hodges Thomas. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delma Mayse Thomas.Survivors include one son, David Carl Thomas of Ardmore, Alabama; one daughter, Patricia Ann Sexton of Grandbury, Texas; two brothers, William Weldon Thomas and J.C. Thomas, both of Elkmont, Alabama; one sister, Avis Crunk of Huntsville, Alabama; and one grandson, Raymond Clayton Thomas.
