Billy Dean "Nit" Daly, 74, of New Bethel Road, Elkmont, Alabama, died Friday, January 17, 2003, at Athens-Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 19, 2003, at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy McCoy, Rev. Toney Wales, and Rev. Brent Hawkins officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, Alabama with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pall bearers were his Grandsons.Mr. Daly was born in Giles County, Tennessee, on October 5, 1928, to the late William Nobel and Lou Ella Hedrick Daly. He was a carpenter and a farmer. He was preceded in death by two brothers; John and Jerome Daly.Survivors include his wife, Eva Mae Wales Daly of Elkmont, Alabama; two sons, Gary Daly and Randall Daly, both of Elkmont, Alanbama; one daughter, Sherry Paysinger of Smiths, Alabama; two brothers, Joe and Jerry Daly, both of Athens, Alabama; eight sisters, Virginia College of Dayton, Ohio, Martha Daly of Athens, Alabama, Jane Powers of Athens, Alabama, Wilma Austin of Athens, Alabama, Sue Aycock of Decatur, Alabama, Peggy Ghee of Decatur, Alabama, Anita Daly of Decatur, Alabama, and Betty Willis of Elkmont, Alabama; ten grandchildren, Collin Daly, Nobie Daly, Ben Daly, Nick Daly, Christopher Paysinger, Jaffe Paysinger, Ellen Emfinger, Beth Freeman, Haley Flannagan, and Scarlett Daly; three Great-grandchildren, Ansley Emfinger, John Emfinger, and Amber Flannagan.
