Barbara Joyce Castle Williams

Barbara Joyce Castle Williams, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born Saturday, August 10, 1940 to Thurman Castle and Daisy Marie Huddleston Castle in Letcher County, Kentucky. Ms. Williams moved from Kentucky to Alabama in 1973 and moved to Elkton in 1988. She loved going to Cherokee N.C. She was of the Baptist faith, active in the Harvest Homemakers Club, enjoyed flowers and gardening, along with going out on adventures and also enjoyed trying new foods to eat. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 37 years, Ed Williams; step-son, Greg Williams; and sister, Mildred Stacey. She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Jonathan) DeFoe and Stacie (Matthew) Reiss; step-sons, Dale (Deb) Williams and Gilbert Williams; brother, Buddy (Carol) Castle; sister, Debbie (Kemp) Dunaway; grandchildren, Emily Kearney-Williams, Andrew Reiss and Nathaniel Reiss; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Brad Smith and her nephew, Eric Meacham officiating. Burial will be at Menser Cemetery in Dawson Spring, Kentucky on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
