Born Wednesday, November 9, 1921 in Moulton, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Silas Dinsmore Burch and the late Pearl Free Burch.
Mrs. Cook was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church. She had been a lunchroom worker for the Madison County and Huntsville City Board of Education for over 32 years. She was a wonderful cook, loved her family, and was always doing something for someone else. She also was a volunteer for CHO. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: William Edward Cook.
Surviving are sons, Barry (Nancy) Cook of Elkmont, AL and Greg (Brenda) Cook of Athens, AL, daughters, Sandra (Horace) Marberry of Toney, AL, Edith (Todd) Jorgensen of Eustis, FL and Regina (Dwight) Gates of Elkmont, AL, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Steve Hargrove. Bro. Mike Clark, and Will Lipscomb officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Toney, AL.

She was born in Limestone County on December 22, 1922 to Albert Burton Hasting and Eva Johnson Hasting. Mrs. Gross was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eldron Dewey Knight, her husband, Wilburn Gross, sisters, Mary Hasting, Marie Hasting Mitchell, Martha Hasting Smith and Rachel Hasting Hahn, granddaughter Genie Denise Knight, and step-son Gary Gross.
&quot;Bert&quot; graduated from Ardmore High School, was a longtime, faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Oak Grove and Wooley Springs Homemakers Cluib. She was a kind, gentle and caring person with a servant&#039;s heart for others.
She is survived by sons Jerry Knight (Jane) of Decatur, Phillip Knight (Karen) of Hartselle and Marcus Knight (Sheila) of Jasper, step-son Dale Gross (Mary) of Melbourne, Florida, step-daughters Linda Gross Romine (Maurice) of Huntsville and Gayla Gross Coleman (Bob) of Whitney, Texas, brother, Col. Richard Hasting of Austin, Texas and sister Kathleen Hasting Vaughn (Bob) of Athens, seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services for Betha Hasting Knight Gross will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Brother Mike Davis and Brother Bob Vaughn officiating with interment in Gatlin Cemetery. Born Saturday, March 15, 1930 in Thatch, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Jeff Bond and the late Ivra Hobbs Bond and Naomi Ruth Hobbs Bond.
Mrs. Claunch was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and was a member of Community Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to watch Alabama football, golf, and fishing. She loved to entertain at McDonalds where she was a biscuit maker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Niles Edward &quot;Saucer&quot; Claunch, and a grandson: Paterick Mateyko.
Surviving are daughters, Shirley (Jimmy) Lewis of Ardmore, AL and Marsha (Phillip) Rooker of Ardmore, AL, sister, Audrey Martin, grandchildren: Miles, Chantal, John David, &amp; Crystal; great-grandchildren: Angel, Jeffrey, Patrick, Madison, JP, Demetri, Candace, and Robert.

Born Thursday, July 16, 1925 in Sulligent, Alabama, he was the son of the late John William Peoples and the late Velma Elizabeth Hill Peoples.
Mr. Peoples was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He served his country fron 1943 until 1946, in WWII as a Purple Heart Veteran of the US Army. He was a loving dad, grand-dad, and great-grand-dad. He also loved go-cart racing, building cars and engines, and even a quarter mile paved track. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Catherine May Peoples, Three brothers: Worley, Walton, and Hershel Peoples; and three sisters: Flor Draper, Hettie Duncan, and Corine Wilburn.
Surviving are sons, Curtis (Carol) Peoples of Toney, AL, Doyle (Doris) Peoples of Taft, TN, Gregory (Penny) Peoples of Ardmore, AL and Nathan Peoples of Toney, AL, daughter, Peggy (Earendil) Spindelieus of Redding, CA, one brother: Blank Peoples of New Market, AL; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge and Shriners in Maryland. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Cecil Cross, James Cross, and Kenneth Cross.
